iS BriTNeY a CriMInaL!?

Obviously NOT! You can either curse me for my ignorance, or my choice to believe, or my plain stupidity, but this has nothing to do with Britney's personal life, but rather that new controversial video that she had made. Set in a street/district in the UK and also with plenty of questionable scenes.

I'd rather not be so serious when it comes to entertainment. However, I think the video fits exactly the mood of the song, which I think is a pretty darn brilliant piece of music.

She might be a criminal for having those elements on the video, but really now, which modern media does not have that anymore? If one has to blame, go trace the roots of the problem all the way back to the old times.. It's just a natural transition I'd say, in a world of minimally-restricted entertainment, that perpetually seeks for the next excitement.

But really Britney, you look fabulous.

Again, being the fan of Mariah Carey, it never feels too early for Christmas! And just last year there was that amazing album, featuring totally awesome music such as - Oh Santa, and so many other materials like "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Christmas Time Is In The Air".

Just to share:-

Now that it is November, and Halloween's just over, you can't fault me for being a lil' early for christmas right? Afterall it is really coming! :)

3-wAY (thE goLDeN RuLE) LadY GaGa, JuStin TiMberLake, LoneLY ISLand & HeliCoPTer DiCKs??

This is perhaps old news, but for those who had missed out this wonderful single by the trio, and Lady Gaga doing the bad-rebellious girl of the 90s with her retro fitting colors and that singing lightly to that cool hip hop beats.. This is it! Not the best song with the best message, but entirely fun and funny, haha.

To be honest, it sounds Mariah Carey-ish, around the Daydream/Butterfly era, like one of her remixes. That midway tempo, and that r&b hip hop swing, ooooh I have to say I love it so much! And not only that, the countermelodies and stuff sounds so Mariah. And even gaga's high notes is sang in that head voice fashion that Mariah does back in those days.

Really love that song :) Entirely fun and feels like a fantasy~

And wtf about helicopter dicks? Sorry if you're under 18 and reading this, but that's seriously hilarious especially with Gaga's expression, haha. She's just way too cool for 2011!

Drew Ryniewicz - iT MusT HaVE bEEn lOVe (X Factor 2011)

I mean, another holy shit! I'm totally blown out of the water because of this girl here.

That innocence, vocal tone and simple charm is the BIGGEST appeal that I believe she has. Geez, can you hear how she SANG that song? It's not the mellowing of it, but rather, injecting the quiet peace and stillness that is occasionally shattered by a slight waver of the young voice...

She said that she's a Belieber (ok, short for a fan for justin bieber). Oh bless me, but this is great great great stuff, matching, if not more than justin's songs. I'm really looking out (can't wait!!) for more materials from her.

And at the age of 14!? She's only one and four years old! This girl has a LONG way to go, a long brilliant career. I think the competition's over, sorry. Even Simon is way too charmed to speak at the end of the enchanting delivery. Seriously these competitions never cease to amaze me with these random gems that appear, out of no where!

Stunning is the word. If there is a great change, it is Beyonce's new image/album/makeover, whichever you would want to refer to it as. I'm not sure if I had been too overtly sensitive towards such changes, but the boundaries in which she is pushing is incredible. I mean just look at the album cover! Her recent artistic deliveries had been verging on some form of neo-classic embodiment of sex and grandeur.

And there's that new single that was out - Countdown! It's just plain genius, and I seriously contemplate the incredible talents behind it's production. It sounded invariably random, and yet, there's that song, that music that people can relate to!

And going with that video - with that whole plagiarism shit going on that everyone's talking about. I would only say that "great minds think alike" and are we not all products of inspiration? What I can say is that if Beyonce had inserted elements of my (hypothetical) production in hers, I'll be fueled even greater to work! It means whatever I'm doing, I'm doing it right!

Well, I can imagine the frustration tho, but lets focus on the brighter side. I think there is ought to be overlaps in today's creative world. It is undeniable because there's is so MANY materials out there, and to be honest, there is perhaps only a few POP cultures! I'm not gonna use that word - plagiarism - but rather, I'd say - sampling. Or learning.

Did the Samsung Galaxy not LEARN from the IPhone? Ok bad example there, IPhone users are gonna bash me real bad. But think about it, it's the genius of Steve Job's vision that brought the world to such a revolutionary state! It is entirely possible to learn from one another, but to innovate and improvise upon one idea takes another level of courage and dare.

But really now. Let's just admire Beyonce's video and her music shall we?

And let's be fair and Google for the Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, who claims to be the genius behind the dance choreography. Judge it for yourself!

vaRIAtionS of aLL i wAnt foR ChRIsTMaS iS YoU

Like I mentioned somewhere before, those who know not about this song deserves a good smack! The chiming bells, bass guitar, superb vocals and all the other awesome instruments that came together into an arrangement of classic holiday anthem was found in that song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" from the 1994 album: Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey!

Ok, that's a mouthful of words in that one sentence. Basically, by and large, that is the most recent Christmas classic that sounds almost like a production from an age ago. And those vocals by MC was just stunning. Plus! It was coupled with that incredibly beautiful face as well. :) I have to admit that there have been many covers by other talented artists, like Shania Twain, Miley Cyrus, and others. But time and again, when Christmas comes, I'll put the Mariah record on and loop that song at least for an hour a day. I know that aint fair considering that I'm a huge Mariah fan, but I'm really anticipating some good production of that song.

And here is my cover of the awesome holiday tune: -

--------------------

Come 2011! This year, Justin Bieber and his Christmas album - Under the Mistletoe, will feature this classic as a duet between the young and the legendary MC. I really hope that it'll be great, considering how BIG Justin Bieber is these days and with that army of producers running around with him (probably).

And not only that! The thought that Michael Buble would be releasing another version of the same song, from an entirely different perspective thrills me to the core. Seems like it's not just the pop world that is raging over the song, but Michael Buble is of a totally different street, with a totally unique sound as well!

Let's see how things would come up and come out to be. I'm crossing my fingers for Santa to be pleased as well :)

neW bEGinninGs

I had always wanted to start a music blog. So this is it, just purely for the sake of music! There'll be so many things to write about and so many artists, history, styles, and all that this blog can potentially cover. As a start, let's just say that this is made in conjunction with my youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/rabidroadrunner - which had gained some basic momentum through the last few months.

It had all started as a cute fun project, just setting the camera beside the keyboard while I played, doing that recording which I will upload, "for the fun of it". And lo and behold, it grew to a portfolio of a plentiful of covers, and now I'm working on putting up more vids with all the nice comments and thumbs up that people had been feeding me.

Then the youtube honors as well! Ok, I'm not going to go into a self indulgent mode here. Basically this is going to be an avenue for us all to share, verbally, our love and passion for music.

So if you do feel me, this is a song for starters - the Entertainer by Scott Joplin. I had redone it into a "Chaos Fun Remix", totally impromptu and improvised. Let me know if you like it :)
